Swazi controllers train at Global ATS

Four Delegates from Swaziland succesfully completed an approach surveillance course at ASTAC's Rudloe college in Shoreham on Friday.

Swaziland has invested in a major new International Airport at Sikhuphe, some 30km east of the existing Matsapha Airport and the students studied the Astac Approach Surveillance course ICAO 054

The new airport has a 3600m runway and will be equipped with Thales Radar Navigation aids and a Eurocat C radar display system. The Astac training linked  with the practical application of the Eurocat C system at Sikuphe.

The Swaziland delegates  were accomodated in the resort town of Brighton and despite the high pressure of studying enjoyed their experience at ASTAC and studied along side other delegates from Libya and Kazakstan.

As well as working very hard on the simulators the delegates had  the opportunity of both technical and social visits organised by Astac while they are completing their courses.

ASTAC is a leading training provider in various aviation courses mainly but not limited to ATC ( ICAO), Search and Rescue, AIS, OJTI and  Examiner's courses.

Due to high demand for  higher level ATC courses ASTAC has also introduced Air Traffic and Aviation Management Foundation Degree programme. (For more information on this course plese download the prospectus)
